Esteemed Actor Pat Finn, a versatile actor, Famed For Parts in Seinfeld and The Middle, Passes Away at 60 Years Old.

American entertainer Pat Finn, who appeared in popular television series including Friends, "Seinfeld" and The Middle, has passed away at the age of 60.

The comedy and improvisation performer died at home in LA recently having undergone treatment for cancer from 2022 onward, as reported by reports.

"He never met a stranger - only friends he had yet to meet," his family said in a statement.

They continued that he had "lived his life fully - with joy and exuberance".

A Notable TV Career

Finn's first television role was on the George Wendt Show in the mid-90s, where he portrayed the brother of the main character.

He also had a repeating character on Murphy Brown from 1995 to 1997.

He played the part of a party host named Joe Mayo in "Seinfeld" in 1998, portraying a social organizer known to delegate burdensome jobs to his guests.

In the end of the 90s and start of the 2000s, he appeared as a guest star on several popular shows, such as:

  • King of Queens
  • Friends
  • "That '70s Show"
  • House

Finn was perhaps best known for his portrayal of Bill Norwood in The Middle, starring in eight series from 2011 to 2018.

His cinematic roles are It's Complicated (2009) and "Santa Paws 2".

Off-Screen Life

Outside of his television work, Finn was an improv performer and also taught at the Colorado university, where he was a professor.

He was a member of a comedy group of six known as Beer Shark Mice.

"Pat guided, supported, and advised many learners throughout the years and it's nearly impossible to find someone anyplace who has a bad thing to say about him," his relatives stated.

Offering condolences, peer Richard Kind remarked there was "not a more kind, gentle, or funny, authentic human being you could encounter".

"Always positive, assisting others to improve and be funnier. A wonderful father and man," he shared publicly.

Finn is survived by his wife Donna, his children, and his family.
